The Coach’s Corner
IMX
This winter Middle Atlantic will be giving
out awards in each individual age-group at the end of the
season to the kids with the highest IMX totals. IMX is a
program started by USA Swimming a few years back to encourage
its kids to be more well-rounded swimmers. If you visit
the link, http://www.usaswimming.org/USASWeb/DesktopDefault.aspx?TabId=801&Alias=Rainbow&Lang=en
it will explain the program in detail. As you check out
the link, you can also see where your swimmer finished in
middle atlantic, eastern zone and in the country for their
age during the previous winter. The coaching staff will
be actively encouraging the swimmers to participate in the
program to make us elligible. All a swimmer has to do is
swim all of events USA swimming lists for their age at any
of the meets during the short course season. They will then
be ranked and elligible for the awards. A listing of the
events can be found by visiting the link. Participation
in this program will make our club more well-rounded which
will help our developing athletes succeed into the future.
More info will be displayed at the pool.
